Access to education remains one of the most powerful tools for breaking cycles of poverty and creating sustainable community development.

Recognizing this need, Deborah’s House Foundation (DHF), in collaboration with the TCC Ladies and Girls Fellowship, organized an impactful Education Awareness Program at Bishop Koji Island on March 23, 2024.

The outreach brought together children and young girls from the community to engage in meaningful conversations about the value of education and its role in shaping brighter futures. Many underserved communities continue to face challenges such as limited educational exposure, economic hardship, and societal norms that discourage long-term academic pursuit, particularly for girls.

During the program, participants were guided on how education builds confidence, expands opportunities, and equips individuals with the knowledge needed to achieve independence and personal growth. The session emphasized that education is not merely academic achievement but a lifelong foundation for leadership, innovation, and community transformation.

Through initiatives like this, Deborah’s House Foundation continues to advocate for equal access to education for children and young adults, ensuring that every young person understands their potential and the opportunities education can unlock.

The Bishop Koji Island outreach marked another important step in DHF’s mission to nurture hope and inspire ambition among vulnerable youth.
